Harvey was born on the 25th October 2005. At the age of 43 god blessed us with a son our little prince. On the 7th February 2007 harvey was admitted to our local hospital and later transferred by CATS(Children's Ambulance Transfer Service) to a pediatric intensive care bed in St Mary's hospital london. A few days later it was confirmed our son had the deadly virus meningitis meningococcal septicemia b. The meningitis meningococcal septicemia resulted in harvey our son of 15 months old, having both his legs, three and a half of his right hand fingers amputated with extensive damage and scarring to his whole body leaving his left hand partially paralyzed.

		These were the most harrowing moments for our family. Waiting to see if harvey would live or die. Time stopped, nothing mattered anymore, only harvey.

God saved him and today Harvey is a bubbly, chirpy, giggly, happy boy, he loves being in the garden and playing with his toys in his tent. He still has his personality/his wit and charm his individuality, a real solider our little prince.

Gemma Davis - BUPA London 10K Marathon 31st May 2010 I ran for another charity last year, but would like to raise money for something that is very worth while and that actual results can be seen. I would like to run this event in aid of Harvey after hearing about him through the school I work for, and meeting him before and after he had his new legs. Once you meet Harvey he has you spellbound with his energy and determination.
